- ‘Dubai Derma’ Concludes with 6.4 Million Worth of Sealed Business Deals

The 20th edition of Dubai World Dermatology and Laser Conference and Exhibition ‘Dubai Derma’, was successfully concluded earlier this month at the Dubai World Trade Center. This edition of ‘Dubai Derma’ was officially inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Hasher Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Director General of Dubai Department of Information, with the participation of top-tier doctors, specialists, experts and key decision makers in the industry.

Under the theme ‘Skin Health is our Concern’, the annual global skincare gathering in Dubai, brought together leading skincare specialists, top surgeons and physicians from across various countries under one roof to explore the latest technology advancements and medical treatments for different types of skin diseases. The convening of ‘Dubai Derma’ physically and in-person is a testament of Dubai’s pioneering position as one of the most ideal cities in the world for hosting conferences, exhibitions and world class events, while ensuring the safety and protection of visitors and participants alike.

The 20th edition of ‘Dubai Derma’ witnessed an outstanding success, as the number of visitors exceeded the expected number and reached 27,236 visitors from 110 countries. Additionally, the event concluded with over 6.4 Million worth of business deals signed over the past three days, which is a 15% increase from the 19th edition, which confirms that ‘Dubai Derma’ is not only considered an instrumental event for professors, doctors, lecturers and specialists, but it is also a significant platform for international, regional and local companies and brands to seek and nurture business opportunities and long-term partnerships and connections.

Furthermore, this edition’s scientific program was carefully put together to tackle all the key topics that have arisen in the light of COVID-19, and uncover and discuss effective and efficient treatment solutions, as well as discuss various approaches and techniques. Some of the key topics discussed included Hyperpigmentation, Acne, Melasma, Chemical Peels, Hair loss, Artificial Intelligence in Dermatology, and more, which were tackled through 26 scientific sessions with over 200 lectures presented by some of the most prominent names in the industry. Additionally, the event included 12 workshops, 30 case studies, and 30 digital posters.

Moreover, ‘Dubai Derma’ featured a rich exhibition area, which witnessed the participation of more than 350 exhibiting companies representing more than 500 international brands, who showcased their latest innovations and technologies. The exhibition also gave the chance to attendees, visitors, and exhibitors to network, explore new opportunities, and build relationships. In addition, exhibitors expressed their satisfaction with the organization of the exhibition, and the preventive measures taken to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

Mr. Zaid Al Kindi, General Manager, Proderma, Dubai, UAE, said: “Dubai Derma is one of the most important meetings in the region, and we look forward this major event annually to participate and gain exposure both locally and regionally.
