- Hospitalar: the Platform for Generating Business, Creating Relationships, and Launching Healthcare Innovations

The healthcare industry knows it must save the date: the 25th edition of Hospitalar will take place from May 22 to 25, 2018, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo. The most important healthcare event in the Americas is a business and networking platform that opens the door to the South-American market. Hospitalar’s forums also provide a great opportunity to discuss the present status and future developments of worldwide healthcare with its 1,200 exhibitors, 40 specific theme events, 8,000 congress attendees and more than 90,000 healthcare professionals, who will visit from over 70 countries during the four days of trade show.

The healthcare industry, hospitals and researchers are more and more willing to exchange experiences. Hospitalar will therefore host and present four days of content, featuring 40 congresses, 8,000 congress attendees, 400 speakers, as well as dozens of presentations at exhibitors’ stands. Teachers, researchers and businesspeople from over 15 countries will take charge of the forums at Hospitalar. The purpose is to encourage the discussion of critical market issues concerning the future of healthcare.

CISS – The International Congress on Healthcare Services: This is a Hospitalar’s official event, with a highly qualified target audience comprising public and private health lawmakers, representatives from government bodies, officers and executives from product and equipment supply industries and service providers. In 2018, the main theme is: “State reform and healthcare system reforms: how will political, management and organizational changes influence the provision of services, the service chain and the citizens’ quality of life?”.

HIMSS@Hospitalar - International Digital Healthcare Forum: This year’s HIMSS theme is “eHealth. 18 - Centralize Data & Decentralize Care”, with discussions and presentations based on eight main categories, grouping dozens of technological categories.

Facilities: The goal is to present tested innovations to optimize operations at hospitals and private practices; it brings real-time simulations and technical demos (Facilities Innovation), workshops and the opportunity to exchange experiences (Facilities Education) so as to optimize the relationship between suppliers and buyers.

Rehabilitation: More than 50 exhibiting companies introduce products and services to the market serving the rehabilitation and inclusion of disabled people, the elderly and those who need specialized care. The Rehabilitation Lounge at Hospitalar is also the result of a joint initiative of ABIMO supported by SEDPcD – the Department of Rights of Disabled People for the State of São Paulo and Apex-Brasil. The idea here is to align market actions with societal needs, fostering the creation of new solutions capable of changing the daily lives of disabled people. Also, SEDPcD stages a symposium during Hospitalar, which in 2018 will focus on “Advances in Neuroscience and their Impact on Rehabilitation”.
