Chicago, October 1st 2024 - JD Honigberg International Inc., a company based in Chicago USA, representing US manufacturers since 1985 for their international sales has partnered with General Physiotherapy, a leading manufacturer of Gyratory Percussive massagers designed for the treatment of respiratory diseases like Cystic Fibrosis, COPD, and Bronchiectasis, to represent General Physiotherapy’s G5 branded devices in all markets outside of the United States.
General Physiotherapy was founded in 1958 in Marmande, France but moved manufacturing operations to the United States in the early-1980s and quickly received US FDA-clearance for respiratory and physical therapy applications. Since then, more than 250,000 G5 massage and percussive devices have been sold to customers worldwide. Though initially designed for respiratory care, G5 devices are used by a wide variety of customers, including professional sports teams, physical therapists, masseuses, respiratory therapists, and pulmonologists. G5’s most famous customer is likely Derek Jeter, one of baseball’s greatest players of all-time. After receiving massage treatment with a G5 machine for his many years with the New York Yankees, he was gifted a G5 machine at his retirement.
G5’s popularity across a wide spectrum of applications comes from their patented “Gyratory Percussive” motion, which closely mimics advanced hand techniques that can take years for massage, physical, and respiratory therapists to master. Rather than applying force in a single direction, G5 devices apply force with a horizontal and vertical component.
