The subsidiary Medicals International Morocco completed the acquisition of the total shares of OptiGroup, a leading and most established player in the vision care industry in Morocco.

OptiGroup was founded 40 years ago in Morocco by an industry veteran whose family had been involved in the vision care business since the 1940s. The company grew to play a pivotal role in the development of the specialty contact lens industry and the representation of leading brands in the industry. OptiGroup has incredibly high reach throughout the large geography of the Kingdom of Morocco, with over 1400 business partners and clients and incredibly well-trained and very experienced staff.

Medicals International Morocco was established 7 years ago as part of our geographical expansion plan into Africa. The office is led by well-seasoned and committed team of executives who led the company since its inception to becoming a leading player in the Vision Care and Ophthalmology industry. Of course our Moroccan operation is fully owned by the MI Group founded in 1994.

The acquisition of OptiGroup accelerates market presence by close to 4 decades and bring an incredible reach throughout the vast, beautiful and majestic land of Morocco. Furthermore this investment in buying local established distributors reflect very much on our long term vision & commitment to this market.

The overall MI Group expansion plan is in progress. They will continue to further their presence geographically and they will in parallel keep focused on vertical development per each operation and in each office.
